Dinner at SDR+Kalai´s home

Four of us visited SDR and family after a gap of about two years. (Of course we have met in between a number of times at our place!) This is mainly because of the very busy schedule they have. Kalai is also working. . .
We had some nice puris and manchurian! Their kid, Mukil, is fast improving as an painter! He has good skill in drawing animals and sceneries. May I request SDR, on behalf of all of us, that he should scan and put some of these in this blog.
Seshadri is still planning to visit us :-) He is again part of a double income family! So, only he can decide about our meeting. We are highly flexible!

I am writing all this just to share this feeling of togetherness which gets reinforced only if we could meet more frequently; not necessarily as a large group. But rather on an individual basis within a city or region!

Get together

Dear friends,

Coming April will witness 25 years of our friendship (1984 to 2009). To celebrate this shall we plan for a get together with all our friends (with family)? If all are agreeing for this, then we can fix a date for our meeting now itself so that we can work towards that from today.

October 2nd, 3rd and 4th or December 25th,26th and 27th will be the convenient dates for all I hope. Then we will be having sufficient time for planning,organising and to establish contact with the remaining friends.

Disrespect to our Country's Flag

Hello Everyone, These picture I am sending you all shows the gross disrespect and insult to the Indian National flag by this so called 'spiritual leader' and self proclaimed 'GOD' Mataji Nirmala Devi. This disrespect to our country's flag shows that she has definitely no respect or love for the country that gave her so much and her husband who was an IAS officer and chief of the SCI (he is seated next to her in the pics). Such a shame.. I do urge and plead with all Indians who deeply love their country to forward the photos to as many people as possible so that it does catch the eye of someone higher up in the Indian Govt who can really take some action against this cult.

My work

Dear Friends,

I would like to share with you about what I do. Mostly, I dont do anything :-))

This is a pelton turbine, producing 1 kW for a farm house in Chikmagalur in Karnataka. Designed and fabricated by me in Bangalore. I have installed more than 15 micro hydro units ranging from 1 kW to 100 kW in many states in India and one in Africa.
In one of the pictures, do you see a large machine? That is a locally fabricated "turbine" by a self taught mechanic generating 100W. Look at the size! There are more than fifty such installations in karnataka. People buy it because they get atleast steel that is worth of the cost. BTW these turbines cost half of my turbines. After having burnt their fingers, the estate guys are slowly realising the futility. I hope to get some business in the coming months!
